”We both are from Miami I just moved out here she will be moving out here in the summer and right now we make these things called Dope-Ties.” At Union Square, I met
creativeKunts Rocky ,21, & T ,20, and their friends that support them. Our conversation covers fashion, life, politics, KONY and and their 2 friends each share a personal story. One of the young fellas says..”we are all little orphans..its hard..we were raised in a place about this size (he uses the hat on his head as a reference) ..its really hard for us..we look in local garbage cans..we do thrifting in the garbage cans..as he points to his shoes, jeans and shirts he says “this is from central park, washing sq and this is union..thats the brands..we just trying to rise above it all. ..we have to make it.”

The Godfather of Hip Hop on knowledge, wisdom and truth. He had only 1 request. First, he wanted to recognized 2 people have recently passed away. DJ
Kool Herc, is credited with originating
hip hop music, in
The Bronx,
New York City. I filmed our conversation at the launch event of Kustom Collabo sneakers in NYC.

”When I first became homeless, I use to pray that I die for 6 months…that was back in ’87″ Jerry,52, may be homeless but his mind isnt. I met Jerry in Tribeca. Our conversation is inspiring to say the least. The street lights are on a timer. They come on and off every 2 minutes. Jerry’s face begins to appear at the :35 second mark. He shares his story, a new year’s resolution, tips if you become homelsss, this favorite Bible passage and strongly suggests that everyone “diversify their finances”.

The best thing about waiting for a NYC subway is forgetting you were waiting for a train. What train? The drums are here. While walking along the 4 train platform at 125th street, a group of artist took me and everyone somewhere else. I Love NYC!
